The founder and current owner of Big John's Building & Home Center, Inc. is John D.
Lindsey. Mr. Lindsey's qualifications include 32 years experience in the lumber and building materials retail business, as
well as practical experience in construction.
Big John's was founded in Glenwood Springs, Colorado in 1988. It operates today in its original facility
at 1210 Devereux Road. It has been fully automated with Activant Systems since its inception.
Big John's was opened with a primary product line of do-it-yourself hardware and building materials. It remains in the do-it-yourself market but has expanded in the last several years to include the contractor sales market.
The company opened its doors in 1988 with $200,000.00 of inventory increasing to $950,000.00 of inventory as of the end of fiscal year 2004. The growth of Big John's has far surpassed our initial projections.
