Big John's first annual Customer Appreciation Golf Tournament was held on the lush greens of Lakota Canyon Ranch on September 30, 2005.  We were blessed with wonderful blue skies and warm temperatures, good company and beautiful surroundings.

 

The team of John Lindsey, Joe Elliot (CMC), Mark Stripp (Mountain Craftsman) and Ron Nadon (Superior Home Concepts) quickly took the lead.  There was some speculation that this "Dream Team" was put together by a little more than the luck of the draw.  (Big John's did not return our phone calls to confirm.)  They maintained the lead, finished first and were awarded a round of golf each at Lakota Canyon Golf Club.

 

Coming in second, the team of Tom Henderson, Jim Frey (Frey Construction), Eric Fisher and Craig Nichols (Timberline Construction).  They were each awarded a $75.00 gift certfication from Big John's and a "better luck next time boys" from the first place team.

 

Placing third and scoring a $50.00 gift certificate each from Big John's was the team of Dan Like, Dan Pether (BP Construction), and Chris McComas (McComas Investments).

 

Coming in last place was the team of Steve Lundin and Paul Johnson (Lundin Construction), Dennis Zwickle (Elmer Glass) and Gary Roth (All Weather Wood).  They were awarded a pair of movie tickets each, as golf obviously is not their game.

 

Jim Frey walked away with "Closest To Pin" and won a new Hitachi Table Saw.  We were not able to confirm the amount of the tip the hole monitor got from that transaction, but he was definately smiling at the end of the day.  Longest drive was garnered by John Creech (Creech Construction) and he took home a $75.00 gift certificate to the Bayou Restaurant.

 

There were many other famous names and faces among the crowd.  The team of Bob Reynolds Sr. and Robert Reynolds Jr. (Aggressive Builders), Steve Rieger  (Creech Builders), Steve "Maz" Maznio (Character Builders), Matt Van Hoose and Ron McFarland (Van Hoose Construction), Gary Heisel, Fred Heisel, Matt and Mike Metheny (Demco Construction), Duane and Jason Nueman, Chris Hawkins and Kent Palmer (DM Nueman Construction), Graham Reid and Scott Thomas (Graham Reid Construction), Ralph Pretti (Pretti Construction), Colin Hoff and Jeff Schoonover (Walters Construction), Bob Fuller (Fuller Construction), Dennis Romero and Doug Spike (Alpine Technologies) Pat Koerner (PK Projects), Virgil Howard (Yampah Builders), Kim DeSalvo and Rich Gera (Weitz-Norris), Terry Galbreath and Craig Chance.

 

The evening ended with dinner and door prizes.   Everyone agreed that it was pleasant way to spend a Friday afternoon and that we needed to do it all again next year.  A big thank you to all our customers for their loyalty and support - all of you make Big John's what it is.
